Episode 002 – Trillium “Building Bridges”

Local chamber music groups are taking Knoxville by storm. More and more, musicians are coming out of the woodwork that want to make music on their own terms. In the past few months, I have gotten to know one of those chamber groups. The piano trio, Trillium, has been formed in 2014 and not a minute too soon. The three players, cellist, Alicia Randisi-Hooker; violinist, Alison Maerker Garner; and pianist, Robert Bonham all had lived vastly different musical lives. Then after mixing fate with a bit of intention – it seems Trillium came together right when it was supposed to. On the second intermezzo of Keep It Classical take a listen to come of the conversation I had with the group and then come to the show tomorrow night.

Trillium performs at Bill Jones Music, 10412 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37922. Doors open at 7 PM and the music starts at 7:30. Tickets are $12 at the door. You don’t want to miss this one!
